Abstract

Community service activities (PKM) aim to provide information to children at the Arrohman orphanage about the importance of frugal living  and  implementing it in their daily lives. Managing frugal living is an effort to ensure that all activities in fulfilling needs and desires can be carried out wisely, especially in managing money. Problems faced by children at the Arrohman orphanage The community service activity (PKM) aims to provide information related to understanding needs and desires in fulfilling life, a lack of understanding of the importance of the benefits and examples of frugal living, and in particular, many children are still not encouraged and motivated in a positive direction to want to live frugally. Therefore, a solution is needed for the children at the Arrohman orphanage to live frugally. The solution is to provide information on the importance of frugal living to the children at the Arrohman orphanage so that in the future, they will be able to live more frugally. The community service program was carried out in collaboration with the Arrohman orphanage through face-to-face meetings. The material presented in the Community Service was related to the socialization of the importance of frugal living at the Arrohman orphanage, such as providing information about the meaning of needs and wants, the benefits of frugal living, and examples of the application of frugal living. The method used consists of three stages, namely the preparation stage by preparing modules and questionnaires, the implementation stage by providing information on economical living through direct material delivery, and the activity is concluded with evaluation and monitoring in the form of distributing questionnaires to participants regarding community service. The result of this PKM activity is an increase in the understanding and knowledge of PKM participants, thereby increasing the number of children who have savings.
